Plus, you can see a wide range of screen-readers, screen magnification and scanning packages together with popular Braille displays.
In Room G3, we will be presenting three hour-long seminars – one on each day of the event starting at 10.00 AM:
-
Tuesday: “Voice Input/Output for Beginners”. This seminar is for people who have not previously experienced the ability of being able to talk to a computer and control it by voice, benefiting from speech or magnification output.
-
Wednesday: “Voice Recognition Beyond the basics – Bookmarks, Shortcuts and Audio Transcription”. This presentation is for people who have a basic awareness of voice input/output technology but want to learn about the advanced new features of J-Say Pro. Of particular interest is that people can now dictate into a portable recorder, such as Human ware’s Victor Reader Stream, and the computer will accurately transcribe the text into a document or Email message!
-
Thursday: “J-Tunes and Beyond”. Our final seminar is an introduction to using our J-Tunes product to download music and Podcasts, but we will also demonstrate other music downloading services and portable media players.
The seminars are an ideal way for you to learn about these exciting areas of technology in a quiet environment, to see it working first-hand and to ask questions. It would be helpful to have an indication as to the number of people planning to attend each seminar. Please indicate your interest by sending a message to

Sight Village Blog and Podcast
Once again, T&T Consultancy Ltd are offering a truly virtual interactive experience in the form of our Sight Village Blog and Podcast. It will be produced prior to and including the three days of Sight Village and most importantly, it is a completely free service! Whether you can attend Sight Village or not, we would very much like you to be part of our Blog and Podcast which we hope will be better than ever!
As was the case during 2006 and 2007, we will do our very best to deliver presentations from exhibiting companies through the Podcast, which take place during Sight Village 2008. We received a great deal of positive feedback from people who were able to hear presentations shortly after they were presented to the public.
However while we as Editors of the Blog and Podcast will give our comments concerning the event, we would like other companies and particularly visitors to the exhibition to give their perspective of what has become a large magnificent showcase. This can be done in any one of the following ways:
-
As a company, you could arrange a short interview with us using the telephone or Skype, giving details of new products you will be demonstrating and displaying.
-
As a member of the public, we could interview you using the telephone or via Skype about your potential expectations of the event. Which suppliers will you be visiting? Are there any presentations which interest you? Will you be attending Sight Village for more than one day? We would like to know any thoughts you have about Sight Village.
-
You could send us an MP3 file by Email containing a recording of your thoughts of Sight Village prior to the exhibition.
-
Visit Room G3 or Hall D at Sight Village during the three days and ask to be interviewed for the Podcast.
-
Take a portable recorder with you to Sight Village, if possible, to record your thoughts and experiences while you are there. They can then be Emailed to us.
Please send any comments or recordings you have to
enquiries@tandt-consultancy.com
We hope that the public will be the driving force behind the Blog and Podcast to make it a truly amazing experience.
While we will be conducting short interviews with exhibiting companies for the Podcast, the primary coverage will be delivered through our flagship audio product, Infotech Magazine.
